iTunes: the First, the Last, My Everything purchase

Published Categorized as Uncategorized

I just bought my first track in iTunes (fanfare for the common man) in fact I bought two; I was prompted to buy 2 tracks I did not own, that were requested at a gig I played last night (im a DJ). All my music is CD based and 13 years in CD world, I will migrate to mp3 on flash in the future.

MY BIG PROBLEM is I cant play the M4P file from CD nor from my non iPod digital music player, so I get what I paid for a 0.99cent track that is stuck on the PC it landed on. Is this what I should expect?

Are there legal MP3 purchase sites that I can migrate the mp3 files to CD or MP3 player? And as Ireland is not protected by fair use, what exactly can I do with a purchase of mine?

When I play a venue it is fully legal with the rights organisations, surely the digital music world wants people to be able to use music whenever where ever they want!
