has the new met eireann website brought us better weather? i was scraping Dublin weather for 3 years and all of a June 1st it stopped. where is the xml feeds? site design was by fusio. and very nice it is. but where is the XML. are the met to busy with toll numbers to think xml weather stats, is it not Ireland’s weather? or is it to go the way the Garda is going, where citizens of Ireland engage the police at a customer level (see Garda advert in the Sundays). the problem with this is many fold, but here are my problems with customer based rights (Ireland ltd.)
I am a citizen of Ireland with rights, I am not a customer. I own no mortgage, but I do own a house, I want a police force service but i do not want to pay for it through my house insurance, I pay through my taxes. Now PD led FF Govt. put a group of people in the “below the tax bracket” level of poverty wages, come the 2007 Budget how will PD led FF Govt. tax breaks benefit the “below the tax bracket” minimum (real maximum) wage earners… it wont it can’t, so if I am a citizen I want to get my service as a right not through a Bin Tag etc. I have rights, if I am not buying I’m not a customer so I don’t enjoy customer rights, this is how neo liberal agenda tries to take our rights away, until the privileged gated community dwellers have total control to the heli pads… and can bypass the classes of the masses.
