save €50 on broadband

My company got DSL from eircom 2 ½ years ago, it was I-Stream Multi (remember I-stream I-stream we all scream for I-stream and kicking and screaming the dominant player allowed ISDN customers slash their bills) So we got multi, we were roughly customer 1,300 in the country with ADSL, and we still have it, and its price never changed in 2 ½ years, nor did its service offering until the weekend. Now it has increased from 1Mbits to 2Mbits downstream and remains 256kbits upstream. It had and still has 4 dynamic IP?s and that?s it. It costs 139+vat

So with it being 2Mbits since yesterday I decided to see if it was still the best that operator had to offer us. [there is a perverse loyalty to dominant, we know the service sucks we know its too pricey and we know its no longer state owned but floated PLC, so don?t say try another ISP] Right there in black & white on their web site (they no longer host www.adsl.ie) it has a business plus product (did I mention the I-Stream range is not available to new customers anymore) business plus has 3Mbits down 256Kbits up and 4 static IP?s, and get this, all for 89+vat. 50 Euro less 33% faster and static IP?s over dynamic, shouldn?t some in Eircom be wanting to let us know this business saving reduction they can offer us with enhanced improvements. Heck no.

2 ½ years ago they gave us an account manager, now we have none, and our calls are routed to a tele centre in a different time zone (or different planet). Companies like this do not deserve my perverse loyalty.

Renationalise eircom, bring back the P7T ? save jobs.
