Why is Anne Cassin not in a 24 hour news station? coz RTE is not a 24 rolling news channel. My point is some presenters are suited to a genre. Jimmy McGee – sport! etc. Anne Cassin on Capital D or Crimecall is a clear attempt to move a news anchor talent into other lighter entertainment when there are no vacancies in Anne Doyle’s make-up room.<\/p>\n
Anne Cassin is an outright newscaster built in the style of <\/a>Stephanie Callister or Selina Scott. In 1993 CNN spotted Fionnuala Sweeney on Eurovision in Cork, CNN’s gain, RTE’s loss.
