United Left Alliance &#8211; <br \/>Sale of repossessed home withdrawn. <\/p>\n<p \/> Estate agents Lowe &#038; Associates have withdrawn from sale today the <br \/>repossessed home of Robert Marsh at 130 Comeragh Rd, Drimnagh. The <br \/>house was withdrawn on instruction from Start Mortgages, the sub-prime <br \/>lender that repossessed it. <\/p>\n<p \/> Commenting on today\u2019s events, Joan Collins TD said: <\/p>\n<p \/> This is a victory for Robert Marsh and anybody else who has had their <br \/>home repossessed. We publicly called upon Investec, which owns Start <br \/>Mortgages, and on Lowe\u2019s estate agents to stop the sale of Robert\u2019s <br \/>home. After several protests at their offices, the sale has been <br \/>withdrawn. <\/p>\n<p \/> We will now monitor all of the estate agents to ensure Robert\u2019s home <br \/>is not put up for sale elsewhere. We are calling for all repossession <br \/>sales to be stopped as part of a general resolution to the unfolding <br \/>mortgage crisis. We urge anybody with mortgage difficulties to come to <br \/>the meeting next Sunday in the Red Cow hotel from 1 til 4 to get <br \/>advice, to discuss ideas to deal with the mortgage crisis, and to <br \/>campaign to stop repossessions. <\/p>\n<p \/> If people in difficulty work together we can stop repossessions. <br \/>Lenders are less likely to repossess if they can\u2019t sell your home.
